Capsules are much smaller compared to others I have tried before. I usually have difficulty swallowing those larger tablets and often have to break them in half just to get them down.

This is a great little capsule to get both a probiotic and vitamin d. It’s easy to take, it’s a great size and doesn’t make me feel nauseous after taking it. I highly recommend as I haven’t found anything like this ??

Is Perdays Plant Calcium Complex + K2 the same as Pregnancy Calcium &
Vitamin D? Why did you change?
Plant Calcium Complex + K2 is our new and improved calcium formula. With this reformulation, our aim was to reduce the number of tablets needed per serve, optimise calcium absorption (by adding bone-friendly minerals) and move to an innovative form of plant-based calcium. Our plant-food fans will be delighted to hear that this formula is derived from sustainably hand-harvested Red Ocean Algae, rich in bone-nourishing calcium, magnesium and more than 70 trace minerals.
What are “bone-friendly” minerals and why are they important to bone health?
It seemed logical to us to add what we call “bone-friendly” minerals to strengthen the formula of this calcium supplement – and your bones of course, Bone-friendly minerals are nutrients that work synergistically to direct calcium to where it is needed most in the body and to aid in its absorption and utilisation.
Hence, we added bone-friendly heros vitamin D3, vitamin K2, magnesium and potassium to the formula, because they are co-factors to bone health and will assist the body with better calcium absorption in bones.
Why do Perdays Plant Calcium Complex + K2 tablets look a bit different from
Pregnancy Calcium & Vitamin D tablets?
Our decision to reformulate Pregnancy Calcium & Vitamin D came about because we wanted to offer our customers a more concentrated form of calcium with a higher level of absorption. This innovative form of plant-based calcium is naturally derived from red ocean algae. Due to the source of calcium, combined with added bone-friendly minerals – you will find the tablets have small flecks through them. This is perfectly normal due to the natural variation of the main ingredient.
Is Perdays Plant Calcium Complex + K2 suitable to take if I am pregnant or
breastfeeding?
All the nutrients included in this formula are necessary to maintain optimum bone health in the body through all stages of life (including pregnancy and breastfeeding). However, if you have any concerns, we recommend that you consult our a healthcare practitioner to ensure this product is right for you.
I am vegan, can I take Perdays Plant Calcium Complex + K2?
Yes! Perdays Plant Calcium Complex + K2 is suitable for those following a vegan or vegetarian diet.
How many tablets of Perdays Plant Calcium Complex + K2 should I take?
This depends on your individual health condition and diet. The daily dose of this calcium supplement can easily be tailored to suit your needs. The more concentrated calcium derived from red ocean algae, means you may take fewer tablets per day (when compared with our previous calcium product).
With our previous calcium product, Perdays Pregnancy Calcium & Vitamin D, we recommended taking two tablets up to three times a day. This is because studies show calcium is best absorbed in small doses throughout the day rather than in 1 large amount.
With Perdays Plant Calcium Complex + K2, we have reduced the daily dosage down to 2-3 tablets per day. We recommend up to 3 tablets daily, distributed throughout the day. Please refer to the ingredient intake guideline below:
1 tablet provides 333 mg calcium + 333 IU vitamin D + 40 mcg vitamin K2 + 50 mg magnesium + 17 mg potassium
2 tablets provides 666 mg calcium + 666 IU vitamin D + 80 mcg vitamin K2 + 100 mg magnesium + 34 mg potassium
3 tablets provides 999 mg calcium + 999 IU vitamin D + 120 mcg vitamin K2 + 150 mg magnesium + 51 mg potassium

Can I take Plant Calcium Complex + K2 with other Perdays supplements?
We recommend that you take Perdays Plant Calcium Complex + K2 away from Perdays Iron & Vitamin C, as iron and calcium compete for absorption.
The WHO (World Health Organisation) guidelines also recommend taking calcium and folic acid separately. Hence, Perdays offer Activated Folate and Plant Calcium Complex + K2 as separate products.
Are the tablets easy to swallow?
Yes! Perdays Plant Calcium Complex + K2 mini-tablets are small and easy to swallow. Compared to commonly available calcium supplements, our calcium tablets were mindfully designed, so these little tablets are easier to swallow than many others!
Please note: We do not recommend crushing or cutting the tablets.
