Our Response to the TGA Review of Perdays Pregnancy Iron & Vitamin C
This page explains what the TGA identified, the action we have taken, and what consumers should know.
In December 2025, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) published a media release about an infringement notice involving Perdays Pregnancy Iron & Vitamin C. The TGA also published a listed medicine compliance report with a review outcome date of 18 December 2025 and a publication date of March 2026.
Summary
The TGA issued PERDAY'S HEALTH FUNCTIONAL FOOD (AU) PTY LTD an infringement notice valued at $19,800 in relation to the alleged unlawful advertising of a listed medicine. The notice related to a website claim about dietary iron deficiency, which the TGA identified as not accepted as an indication for this medicine.
Separately, the TGA review also identified that labels on nine specific batches did not include a mandatory warning statement required for the ingredient iron.
We have removed the relevant website claim, recalled the affected batches at retailer level, updated the product label, and reviewed our internal process for product communications, including introducing additional review checks.
The affected batches are no longer in retail circulation. For Perdays Pregnancy Iron & Vitamin C, ARTG 374315, batches released from 1 December 2025 onward were required to carry a corrected label.
Perdays Pregnancy Iron & Vitamin C, ARTG 374315, is no longer produced by Perdays. Perdays Iron & Vitamin C is a separate listed medicine under ARTG 498046.
